Gift of sight is a programme thats organized by both Ophthalmology Department of Kuala Lumpur General Hospital and Rotary Club Malaysia. The aim of this programme is to reach out to the public and conduct eye screening in various centers outside of the clinics.
Considering how beneficial this programme is and its positive impact to the society, we were among the two vendors that have volunteered to lend our diagnostic equipment, Hawk-i T5 LED Slit Lamp for the usage of doctors at zero cost. Besides, our vision is to eliminate unnecessary blindness among Malaysians.
On the morning of 16th February 2020, as early as 7.00am, we’ve arrived the location-PPR Seri Negeri Sembilan which is located in Bandar Baru Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. By 7.15am, our Hawk-I T5 LED Slit Lamp was already up and running.
The crowd started building up 7.30am onwards, and by 8.45am, there were roughly about 80 – 100 people queueing up to get their eyes checked.
Subsequently, at about 9.00am started getting excited as the Batu MP, YB P. Prabakaran made his appearance as the guest of honor and officiated the programme.
